Virtual Town Hall - Continued Assistance Act Extensions will open February 7, 2021

(Albuquerque, NM) – The Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) and Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC) extension programs, made available through the Continued Assistance Act, will open on Sunday, February 7, 2021. Eligible claimants, who have exhausted their PUA or PEUC weeks under the CARES Act, may be able to receive up to 11-weeks in additional benefits. Claimants receiving benefits as part of this extension will also receive the additional $300 Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation for eligible weeks. This Wednesday the New Mexico Departmentof Workforce Solutions will host a virtual town hall in regards to the start of extended benefits under the Continued Assistance Act. Secretary McCamley along with subject matter experts will be on hand to provide further details on what claimants can expect, what they may need to do to prepare, and answer questions.
