The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions released their Monthly Employment News Release for February 2021.
New Mexico’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 8.3 percent in February 2021, down from 8.7 percent in January and up from 5.3 percent a year ago. The national unemployment rate in February was 6.2 percent, down from 6.3 percent in January and up from 3.5 percent in February 2020. Total nonagricultural payroll employment fell by 79,400 jobs, or 9.2 percent, between February 2020 and February 2021.
