Las Cruces Public Schools Career Readiness & Student Success, in partnership with America’s Job Center and the City of Las Cruces, invite you to share your expertise through a mock interview workshop. Volunteers help high school juniors and seniors in Las Cruces strengthen their interviewing skills and build employability skills that support our future workforce.

Interviewing is a vital part of the employment process, and our goal is to ensure students are well prepared to effectively communicate their qualifications, skills, and interests. Through this simulated interview experience, students have the opportunity to refine their interview techniques in a supportive, real-world setting. We rely on employers to conduct mock interviews and provide constructive feedback that helps students improve their presentation and confidence. This invaluable experience supports job readiness upon graduation and, for some students, may even lead to summer employment opportunities.

Parents and guardians: If your son or daughter is a junior or senior enrolled in Las Cruces Public Schools and would like to participate, they should contact their high school to obtain a permission slip.

The Mock It Till You Rock It! event will take place on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with 30-minute mock interview time slots. During each session, a student will participate in a mock interview, receive feedback from the interviewer, and the interviewer will complete and submit an evaluation form following the session.

***IMPORTANT NOTICE: In accordance with the Las Cruces Convention Center policy, outside food and beverages are NOT permitted. NO EXCEPTIONS.***

***Meals will be provided for interviewers who volunteer for the full day***

REGISTRATION WILL OPEN IN JANUARY

After submitting an online registration form, all registrants will receive a confirmation email with additional information and a link to view an Interviewer Packet. The packet contains the Interview Questions and Feedback Form.
