America's Job Center in Las Cruces is hosting a Community Resources & Employment Event on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at America's Job Center, 226 S. Alameda Blvd. in Las Cruces, NM from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Community members are invited to network with agencies providing information about available resources and meet with local employers.

LOCAL AGENCIES:
Community of Hope Outreach Team: “The mission of Mesilla Valley Community of Hope is to promote dignity and empowerment among the homeless population by providing shelter services, case management, income support, and permanent housing programs in Las Cruces and Dona Ana County, New Mexico.” Come meet the outreach team who will be on site to provide information on services and local resources.
Grand Canyon University: “Find your purpose.” Connect with Grand Canyon University for your next step in education. Veterans and Eligible spouses are encouraged to connect.
Lion's Club: Partners with NMDOH to provide vision screenings at no cost to NM children ages 3-7 years old to identify amblyogenic risk factors. Daycare and preschool administrators and directors, and school nurses identify children who need an eye exam and/or glasses but are not covered by Medicaid or insurance, then contact the KidSight Program Manager to initiate vouchers to provide an eye exam and glasses (if needed) at no cost. Eyeglass vouchers are provided to children and youth ages 0-18.
Roadrunner Food Bank: Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico has been providing food resources throughout New Mexico since 1979.
