H.R. 3094, the Workforce Democracy and Fairness Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. | October 5, 2011 -

On October 5, 2011, Chairman John Kline (R-MN) introduced H.R. 3094, the Workforce Democracy and Fairness Act, which will protect employer's free speech and worker's free choice.

Background:

On June 22, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) issued a notice of proposed rulemaking that will significantly change procedures that govern union elections. Sierra County Receives Recertification as Part of Certified Communities Initiative

T or C, N.M.  – Sierra County received recertification for Fiscal Year 2012 as part of the Certified Communities Initiative (CCI) during a presentation on Thursday.

New Mexico Economic Development Department Secretary Jon Barela presented the CCI recertification certificate to Al Campbell, president of the Sierra County Economic Development Organization (SCEDO), during a day-long visit to Sierra County.
